Looking to head back to school?
All permanent associates that have been working with Nelnet for over one year and are scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week can take advantage of Nelnet’s tuition reimbursement program to help fund higher educational goals. Eligible associates can receive up to $5,250 in tuition assistance each year to further their education in an area relevant to the work they do at Nelnet.
In addition to tuition reimbursement, Nelnet also hosts regular on-site education fairs where associates can narrow down their choices and see which schools best fit them.
Some schools that have participated in the past include:
- University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- University of Nebraska-Omaha
- Doane University
- Nebraska Wesleyan University

Student Loan Reimbursement
Nelnet associates also are eligible for student loan repayment assistance through the Employee Choice program. Any matched 401k funds can be used toward paying back student loans.
