Meeting Community Needs With United Way

Each year, Nelnet associates come together to raise money for their local United Way. Every associate’s donation is matched by the Nelnet Foundation, doubling the impact. If it’s an associate’s first time giving to United Way, Nelnet will double-match the donation, tripling its impact. Importantly, the associate’s donation and the match stay where the associate lives and works to improve lives by tackling the biggest needs.

Supporting Associates With Hardships

Launched in April 2023, the Nelnet Associate Caring Fund is funded by the Nelnet Foundation and managed by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. This fund provides short-term, emergency financial support to Nelnet associates facing financial hardship and adversity due to unforeseen and unpreventable circumstances, such as natural disasters and extended illnesses or injuries.
