As the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency Leaves Loan Servicing, Nelnet Has Their Back
When PHEAA announced in July 2021 that they would stop servicing federal student loans effective December 2021, they began migrating their loans and special Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) responsibilities to another servicer. In October, the U.S. Department of Education announced a temporary expansion of PSLF program’s eligibility requirements, creating an influx of new applications that PHEAA was unable to handle. Nelnet proved a collaborative partner, quickly processing tens of thousands of applications accurately.
